January 11, 2008: The National Transportation Safety Board's (NTSB) on-going investigation uncovers an error in the original design process that resulted in undersized gusset plates on some of Bridge 9340's main trusses. On January 15, 2008, the board issues Safety Recommendation H-08-1, dealing with load capacity calculations for non-load-path-redundant steel truss bridges in the United States. These findings were released in the Federal Highway Administration's interim report, Adequacy of the U10 and L11 Gusset Plate Designs for the Minnesota Bridge No. 9340 (I-35W Over the Mississippi River).

March 5, 2008: The NTSB issues Structural Investigation Group Chairman Factual Report 08-015 (available in print at TG25.M6 S77 2008). On March 17, 2008, a NTSB update states that excess construction weight was placed above the earlier-reported too-thin gusset plates.

1. You're right to be concerned, as interior polyethylene would drastically limit the drying potential of both assemblies. Instead use a class 2 vapor retarder like "Membrain" or "DB+" or "Intello".2. Yes, this could cause issues. Avoid half-in-half-out attic space, otherwise it will get cold enough for condensation at the inside of the ridge. If you're set on using ZipR you have a great continuous air barrier at the exterior. Condition the attic space (if not for storage or anything else run your ductwork through it) and install the vapor retarder on the inside face of the batt insulation, not at the bottom of trusses.

"I thank Prime Minister Liz Truss for her partnership on a range of issues including holding Russia accountable for its war against Ukraine ... We will continue our close cooperation with the U.K. government as we work together to meet the global challenges our nations face."

In this new version of the Guide, you will find expanded treatment of historical development of trusses and common truss forms, and enhanced discussion of analysis considerations and joinery and connection design. There are several all-new chapters covering mechanical characteristics of wood, bridging and bracing considerations, fit-up and raising issues, and evaluation and repair of trusses. The TFEC anticipates that this second version will serve as a valuable resource to those who design, build, and rehabilitate timber trusses.

In an IPD contract, the owner only increases the contract value for agency issues, discovered site conditions and owner driven scope changes. This issue was a design and construction coordination issue coupled with errors/omissions which are not eligible for an increase to the contract.

The family moved to Paisley, Renfrewshire, in Scotland when she was four years old, living there from 1979 to 1985,[22] with Truss attending West Primary School.[13][19] She then attended Roundhay School, a comprehensive school in the Roundhay area of Leeds,[23] which she later said had "let down" children,[24] a claim disputed by others.[23] Aged 12, she spent a year in Burnaby, British Columbia in Canada, where she attended Parkcrest Elementary School while her father taught at Simon Fraser University.[25] Truss praised what she described as the Canadian coherent curriculum and the attitude that it was "really good to be top of the class", which she contrasts to her education at Roundhay School.[19] Truss was remembered by adolescent classmates as a studious girl with "geeky" friends. She reportedly had an interest in social issues such as homelessness.[11] She read philosophy, politics and economics (PPE) at Merton College, Oxford, graduating in 1996.[12]

Following her election to the House of Commons on 6 May 2010, Truss campaigned for issues including the retention of the RAF Tornado base at RAF Marham in her constituency;[52] over seven months she asked 13 questions in the Commons about RAF Marham, secured a special debate on the subject, wrote dozens of letters to ministers and collected signatures on a petition which was delivered to Downing Street.[53] From the start of her parliamentary career, she also lobbied for the dualling of the A11 west of Thetford;[54] the work was completed in 2014.[55] "With an eye on Thetford Forest, in her constituency, she spoke out against the proposal to sell off forests"[56] and played "a leading role" in preventing a waste incinerator being built at King's Lynn.[53]

In December 2020, Truss made a speech on equality policy in which she stated that the UK focused too heavily on "fashionable" race, sexuality, and gender issues at the expense of poverty and geographical disparity. In the speech, she announced that the government and civil service would no longer be receiving unconscious bias training.[136][137]

One of the massive steel canopy trusses was installed on the west side of the stadium last week only to be removed after crews were unable to work around issues relating to fit without removing it, according to Las Vegas Stadium Co. Chief Operating Officer Don Webb.

Once a construction project passes final inspections, the builder certifies that the project complies with the UCC and the construction official issues a Certificate of Occupancy. A Certificate of Occupancy verifies that the construction work has been completed in accordance with the UCC. 041b061a72
